Some say Eldar are Cheesy

I say, we're just misunderstood!  Unless of course we're actually made out of cheese:

2010 'ard Boyz

We are starting to take names for those who are interested in heading down to Kamloops for the 2010 40K 'ard Boyz event.  It will take place on May 15th.  For those unfamiliar with the 'ard Boyz tourneys, it is a no-holds-bar event.  Nothing matters but how well constructed your army is and how well you play it.  It is 2500 points, and nothing matters except WYSIWYG.  No painting, no composition... ahh... wouldn't it be nice if all tourney's were like that?!?  Well, that may just be me.  Some of the rules to know: there are no Forge World rules allowed (you can use the models, but only to acurately represent units out of the codex) and that the top three finishers at each location will qualify for the semi-finals.  The winners of the semi-finals each receive a 2500 point army of their choice, and the first, second and third finishers at each semi-finals will be invited to attend the finals in Chicago, where glory and internet scrutiny await the winner.  So, who's with me?  Let me know soon!

Customer Appreciation Night

On behalf of Amanda and myself, we would like to thank all of our loyal customers who showed up for our customer appreciation sale on Sunday night.  It was a blast, enjoyed by some until 10:30.  Mandy would especially like to thank those who helped eat all of the cookies.  She spent the entire day baking them, but was earnestly hoping not to take any home!  Thank you for not disappointing!

Games Night Dec. 14

It was an eventful games night tonight.  We had fewer numbers because of the numbing cold, but we had 8 players show up.  One campaign game went on, seeing Kevin D's Eldar narrowly defeat Fex's Tau.  For role-offs tonight, Barret failed to take on of Kevin L's territories.  Since Barret wasn't there the dice was rollled by Kevin in witness of everyone.  Nick M rolled against James and took one of his territories.  John H rolled against ????  and won, taking a non-adjacent partially shielded territory with a Command Bastion.  We hope to see everyone at next week games night!

Campaign Update

There were two rolls today.  Dave rolled against Kevin L and won, taking a non-adjacent territory with a Command Bastion.  Kevin D rolled against Brandon but failed to take one of Brandon's last two territories. There were a lot of new players interested in playing so next week we will have another planet. Hope to see everyone there!

Fantasy Tourney

Officially announced! January 24th (Sunday) at the Quesnel Recreation Centre.  The points have not been finalized, but my guess would be 1250.  Entry fee will be $20.00 (all of which goes to rent the space and for prizes).  There is room for 16 people.  The more people, the better the prizes!  As we do not have a lot of Fantasy specific terrain, please forgive us if the tables have a 40k feel to them.  Sign up at the store!

Quick Campaign Update

Greetings

Just a quick summary of what happened last night.  There were four dice rolls.  Kevin L rolled to take one of Brandon's tiles and it was a success.  He took the adjacent tile with the Command Bastion.  Dale rolled to take one of Kevin D.'s tiles and won.  He took the adjacent tile with the Power Plant.  Fex also rolled against Brandon and took a tile that had a Command Bastion on it.  Dave rolled to take one of Nick M's tiles, the one with the space port, but only rolled a 5 when he needed a six to succeed.  New to the game is Nick F (Daemons) James (Chaos Marines), Barret (Chaos Marines) and John H. (Imperial Guard).  The board is looking really full and we have another two people who might be interested in playing, so that would bring the total to 13.  We're going to start another board, which will count as another planet.  I know of 4 games that took place Monday night and I'm sure a few more will take place this week...  I will post the map shortly.
