Northern Alliance Gaming

Just a quick reminder that there is a local events calendar on the Northern Alliance Gaming website.  The link is in the bar on the right.  If you're looking to do something more than just wait around for my tourneys, check it out.  There will be a doubles tournament in Prince George the weekend of March 20 - March 21 @ Great White.  Think about going!

    Proposed Tournament Circuit

    A group of gamers in the region are very interested in growing our communities closer together by creating a warhammer tournament circuit. The circuit could include warhammer 40k and fantasy events in Fort St. John, Dawson Creek, Grande Prairie, Prince George, and Quesnel.

    What do you guys think?

    I think it would be spectacular. I am always up for hosting a tournament in Quesnel, and would definetly attend tournaments abroad. I know Jason Richards at Wonderland and a lot of people involved in the Grande Prairie area. Also, I've been to a SQUIGS event this past winter and had a blast. I would wonder if Great White would get involved, or if we would have to just work all of our other dates around their November tourney. Also, don't forget that a lot of PG people have moved to Edmonton, and the Out of the Basement crew there put on a FABULOUS tournament there each summer, and I think we should consider that. Perhaps we could have qualifiers or a point/ladder system that feed into a large-area wide grand tournament, which could feed into the over-all Games Workshop North America finals in Las Vegas? I know that's a grand vision, but the tourneys and the organizers are already in place, we just get together on dates and an overall system of rewards. I think the players would benefit tremendously!

    I love your ideas, and I think the community will grow, and retailers will profit greatly, but the first step we need to take is getting 20 people signed up to rankingshq.com, and have them add me (Mike Sweetman) to their friends list! We can't really proceed until then! So if you could make an official 'Call to Arms' in your neck of the woods that would be great...we are currently sitting on 7 members.
